Hats, the new hair

Every idea in wardrobe design, began with the simple foundation of practicality. Fueled by a need, a rudimentary and basic article was created. Born with a purpose in mind and that's that. Hats are no exception to the rule. Created to weather the elements, offering shelter from sun, rain and cold. But out of the box artistic thinkers took simplicity to a new level and began toying with the idea of not just practical and purposeful, but expressive and beautiful.

Style is an endless hunger, consuming all that gets in its path, and reproducing it in a such a way, that draws eyes, or turns heads. Hats have become the icing on the cake in this manner. Allowing for inner expression of one's self whether through words, or intricate design. They have taken on meanings, and shapes to fit a world who sees a need, and meets it with attitude and flare.

Trucker style, ball caps, sun hats and the like, have come to be much more than just a simple way to protect your head, or deny a bad hair day. They are stylish representations of the tiny pieces of us that usually go unnoticed. So, I guess the only question left to ask is, what does your hat say about you?
